About Current Theory

Stay in the Current.

I grew up in San Diego with a surfboard under my arm and the Pacific under my feet. Shortboards, longboards — didn't matter. The ocean was where everything else went quiet. It was my place of relaxation, my place of peace, the place where I felt most present and most myself.

Then I moved to Texas for college at 18 and suddenly the ocean was a thousand miles away.

That distance taught me something I hadn't expected. The feeling I was chasing out in the water — that total presence, that aliveness — it was never really about the ocean. It was about being current. Fully here. Fully now.

Current Theory is that idea turned into a brand.

My future self would spend everything he has to be exactly where I am today. So that's where I'm choosing to be — present, grateful, riding whatever wave is in front of me.

That's the theory. It started in the ocean but it applies to everything. Wherever you are right now — soak it in. Don't miss it chasing something else.

Stay in the current.
